Kenneth Beneciuk Obituary

Kenneth Beneciuk, 70, passed away on March 25, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on February 1, 1952 at Elizabeth General Hospital to Adam Beneciuk and Dorothy Leskanic. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1970. Ken was known as a happy go lucky, always ready with a joke type of guy, he truly was unforgettable. 

Kenneth joined the Marines on September 14, 1970 and was honorably discharged 4 years of service on September 13, 1974. He rose to the rank of Sergeant E-5 as a Master Computer Operator. He received the National Defense Service medal as well as the Good Conduct medal.

Ken is predeceased by his parents Adam and Dorothy Beneciuk and his brother Dennis Beneciuk. Ken is survived by his wife of 41 years, Violet, who on October 11, 1980 were married at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sewaren. Surviving is his sister Kathleen Bradley and her husband Thomas of Carteret, 8 nieces and nephews and 13 grand nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Marine Corps. Garden State Detachment of New Jersey and the American Legion Post 248 of Colonia.

Kenneth loved fishing, being in the outdoors, his pond, the New York Yankees and the Marine Corps (Once a Marine, Always a Marine). Ken truly did things his own way.

Visitation will take place on Monday March 28th from 10AM-12Noon at the Gosselin Funeral Home at 660 New Dover Road. A blessing will take place at 11:30AM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
