Kathleen A (Kenny) Ward

Kathleen A. (Kenny) Ward 84, of North Brunswick, NJ formerly of Iselin, NJ, passed away peacefully at RWJ hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, June 13, 2024. 

Born in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Peter & Margaret (Pape) Kenny on January 9, 1940. 

Kathleen was raised in Greenpoint, Brooklyn & graduated from St. Nicholas High School in 1957. 

Her family moved from Brooklyn NY & settled in Iselin NJ in 1958, where Kathleen started working for Revlon in Edison NJ. 

She met the love of her life Eddie Ward in 1961 & they fell in love & were married in November 1962! 

They also settled in Iselin, & raised 3 beautiful children together Deborah, Edward Jr, & Coleen. 

Kathleen decided to stop working in 1964 to stay at home & raise her family, which she did for a number of years, returning to the work force in 1982. Where she worked for Voltube in Edison & JFK hospital, in the dietary department, then finally at Pathmark warehouse as a replenisher, where she retired from after 25 years of service in 2003! 

Kathleen moved to North Brunswick, after retiring in 2004. 

Kathleen had a kind heart, who would stop & talk to anyone, she would help anyone, who needed help! 

She was a quick wit, with a snappy come back, that would have you laughing, till it hurt! She loved doing jigsaw puzzles, word searches, & watching game shows! The Game Show Network was her favorite! 

She also loved to dance, especially with her husband Eddie, they could dance together, to any kind of music, & they would move around the dance floor, everyone would just clear the way for them! She was also known to grab ahold of anyone she’d see sitting & pull them out on the floor with her! 

But most of all, Kathleen enjoyed spending time with her growing family, whom she was extremely proud of! 

Kathleen is Predeceased by her husband Edward W.Ward Sr. 1997, her parents Peter 1991 & Margaret 1992 Kenny, & her brother Peter Kenny 2021. 

She is survived by her children, a son Edward Ward Jr of North Brunswick & his partner Cheryl Moore, 2 daughters, Deborah of Benton Ky & her husband Thomas & Coleen Chrobocinski of Carteret & her husband Craig. 

6 Grandchildren, Michael Steigler of Almo, Ky & his wife Stacey, Nicole Paganelli & Jesse Richter both of Benton, Ky, Danielle Ward of Dunedin, Fl & her partner Ibn Ashraf, Zack Chrobocinski of Piscataway & his partner Krystal Redfield, & Mia Chrobocinski of Carteret. 

10 Great Grandchildren, Dakota, Michael & Ian Steigler, Gabriella, Kane, Kylee & Harper Paganelli,

Jordan Ashraf, Dallas & Colton Richter. 

2 Sisters, Marjorie Schlick of Fort Myers, Fl & Betty Weber of Pomfret, Md, & several nieces & nephews!
