Kathleen Tanskey, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away
peacefully on March 22, 2024. Born on February 17, 1943, proudly from East 24 th Street
in New York City, Kathleen's life was marked by love, laughter, and unwavering devotion
to those she held dear.
Kathleen is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Tanskey. She leaves behind her
two cherished sons, Robert (Kelly) Tanskey and Andrew (Heather) Tanskey.
Her legacy lives on through her adoring grandchildren: Matthew, Kaitlyn, Kristen, and
Connor. Kathleen took immense pride in watching them grow and blossom into
individuals.
In addition to her immediate family, Kathleen is survived by her sisters, Ann and
Blanche. She is preceded in death by her sisters Patricia, Rita, Marilyn, and Claire, who
was her cherished twin and best friend. They were proudly known as “The Martin
Sisters”, and their sisterly bond was a source of strength, solace, and pride throughout
the years.
She touched the lives of all who knew her with her infectious laughter and genuine
kindness. Her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and all who had the
privilege of knowing her.
Kathleen will be dearly missed and forever remembered. May she rest in eternal peace.
