Josephine M. Van Buskirk (Amendola) of Pocono Lake, PA passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025.
Josephine was born in Brooklyn, NY to Sylvester Amendola and Mary Rose Tagliaferro on January 16, 1947. She earned her associate’s degree from Middlesex County College in Edison, NJ. She retired from Revlon, as a Senior Manufacturing Supervisor in 2005 working in both Edison, NJ and Oxford, NC. While working multiple jobs, she cared for her beloved husband and she raised six children. She was a member of the Pocono Historical Rail Society. She enjoyed playing golf, watching Yankee baseball, eating cheese & was a professional napper!
Josephine is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles H. Van Buskirk, her daughter Zina Cuevas and grandson Alexander Cuevas, her daughter Roberta Mutilitis and husband Joseph, her daughter Andrea Van Buskirk and grandchildren Delaina and TJ Wallace, her daughter Robin Brown and her granddaughter Evelyn Patterson, her daughter Roxanne Tirado and husband Miguel O. and grandchildren Miguel A., Tyler and Amanda Tirado, her son Charles M. Van Buskirk and wife Karen, her sister Julie Hatt and husband Charlie, her 2 fur babies Archie and Marcy as well as Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Friends. Josephine was predeceased by her brother Vincent Amendola.
Visitation will be held at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ 08820 on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 4:00-8:00pm with a blessing scheduled for 7:00pm.
