Josepine (nee Maceli) Fulvio completed her life’s mission here on earth October 13, 2023. Josephine was the first daughter of Stephen and Mary (nee Molino) Maceli. She grew up in Bensonhurst in Brooklyn, NY along with her two brothers, the late Reverend Anthony Maceli and the late Ralph Maceli along with her two surviving sisters, Mrs. Angela Finnegan and Mrs. Ann Yaun.
Josephine held a position working for the federal government while also attending night school. This was indicative of her strength, intelligence and talents. However, she paused her work to marry her beloved husband of 27 years, the late Domenic Fulvio. Josephine and Domenic lived in Colonia, NJ where they raised their three children together, Mrs. Mary Ann Richardson, Mrs. JoAnn Miller and Domenic Jr. Josephine was dedicated to her family. This was only surpassed by her strong faith in God, The Fulvios were founding members of St John Vianney Church in Colonia where they participated in many parish activities including Josephine’s participation in the Holy Rosary Society.
She is also survived by her six adult grandchildren, William Miller Jr., Michael Miller, Andrew Richardson, Caitlin (nee Richardson) Hrycenko, Jacquelin Fulvio and David Fulvio. In addition, she was the Great Grandma to five grandsons, Jonathan Miller, Nicholas Miller, Patrick Dolwick, Bryce Fulvio and Garrett
Fulvio.
Upon the passing of her husband, Josephine relied on her strong faith in God to provide her the way to continue to do His Will. That direction resulted in her taking a position as a secretary/receptionist for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Berlin, NJ until she retired in 1995.
Josephine was blessed with a long life as she fell just three months shy of her 98 th birthday. In that time, she left an impression on all that knew her as a kind, caring woman with an unwavering love for her God and her family.
