Joseph Napolitano passed away December 2, 2025. He was born in Newark, NJ on February 20, 1934 in the First Ward of Little Italy. He entered the Army in 1955 and served time in France. After he was discharged he married his wife Margaret on December 1, 1957. He moved to Colonia, NJ in 1964 and was a member of St John Vianney and ushered Saturday 5pm mass. He was a member of and Vice President of Colonia Little League. He coached girls softball.
He and Cal Donnley started Colonia Footballs League. After a few years and consulting with Pastor of St John Vianney Church they started a pop warner football team, St John Vianney Patriots. Later on they became Colonia Patriots Pop Warner of which he was president of that league.
He was the owner operator of Pepperidge Farm Bread and Cookie Routes for many years. The Pepperidge Farm truck was a familiar sight around town.
He then moved to South River, NJ. Became a member of South River Baseball and coached little league. He was also a 4th Degree Knight of Iselin K of C.
He loved watching the Yankees and Giants games.
He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years Margaret. Brother Louis. Sisters Mary and Nicky.
He is survived by his sons Joseph Napolitano, Kenneth Napolitano and Louis Napolitano. Daughter Debra Hayes and husband Kevin; Lisa Robinson and husband Scott. Grandchildren Dylan Hayes and Zachary Robinson. Sister Antionette and husband Bill. Along with many nieces and nephews.
