Jose Miranda (Pepe), of South Plainfield, NJ, passed away on February 21, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Manati, Puerto Rico, on August 3, 1935.
He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Norma, a cherished father to 3 surviving children, Lourdes, Alex, and Doris, a loving grandfather to 5 grandkids, Alyssa, Andrew, Ava, Amy and Daniel, and father-in-law to Nelson and Michael.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Jose, honorably served his country with dedication and courage. His faith in God was the cornerstone of his life, and he never hesitated to share the love of Christ with family, friends, and even strangers. He found immense joy in worship, often lifting his voice in song and playing the conga with passion and energy.
Jose was a hardworking man, known for his outgoing personality and had the ability to make others feel warmth and laughter. He never met a stranger he didn’t talk to. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith left a lasting impact on his family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is now reunited in heaven with his beloved Norma, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Jose leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and music that will never be forgotten.
A celebration of his life will be held on March 1, 2025 at Gosselin Funeral Home in Edison, NJ from 1-4 pm. Friends and family are invited to honor his memory and share the joy he brought into this world.
Rest in God’s eternal peace, Papi. Your song will never fade.
