John Tirpak, age 91, of Colonia, NJ passed away at home on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
John was born in Glen Lyon, PA to the late Paul and Anna Tirpak. He lived in Linden,
NJ briefly before putting down roots in Colonia, NJ with his beloved wife Marie in
1958.
John dedicated his life to his family, friends, country, and community. John was a
veteran of the US Air Force and proudly served during the Korean War. Before
retiring, he worked for Tenco as a maintenance mechanic. John was particularly
gratified with his time spent in the Mount Pocono community as a dedicated
volunteer firefighter. A man of many talents, he was eager to learn new things, and
could build or fix anything. He was selfless, loved making new acquaintances, and
was always willing to help others; if anyone ever needed a tool, he had three of them.
He enjoyed entertaining his friends and sharing stories; there was always music
playing in their home. He made friends easily, and everyone who knew John loved
him.
John is survived by his sister Rose; his children and their spouses Babette (John),
John (Patricia), Donna (Matthew); his nephew Bob and nieces Maureen and Penny;
his grandchildren Erica (Brian), and Kyle (Josh); and his great-grandchildren John,
Victoria, Michael, Samantha, Nicole, and Amelia; and his much-loved neighbors.
John is predeceased by his sister, Pauline, and his cherished wife and love of his life,
Marie.
