John S Tarnalicki, Sr.

John S Tarnalicki Sr. 90, of Colonia, NJ passed away February 7, 2021 at JFK Medical Center.

John was born September 13, 1930, in Wilkes-Barre Township, Pennsylvania. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph Tarnalicki and Antonina Rojowski Tarnalicki. He is also predeceased by his brothers Anthony, Frank and Joseph Tarnalicki, Walter and Henry Glump and his sister Helen Glump.

John proudly served in the United States Army from 1948 to 1950.

He worked on numerous railroads including Lackawanna Railroad, Pennsylvania Railroad, Centeral Jersey Railroad and lastly Conrail. He retired in 1993 after 41 years. After retirement he worked as a Treasurer for the Bayway Polish Home in Elizabeth, NJ

He is survived by his wife Joan Tarnalicki. They would have celebrated 68 years of marriage in June. Son John J Tarnalicki, Jr. and his wife Jean. His brother Casmir Tarnalicki. He is also survived by his two granddaughters Nicole Mohan and her husband Steve, Jennifer Rajeev and her husband Arjun. And his loving great grandchildren Madison and Nathaniel.

He enjoyed sitting on his porch reading the newspaper, setting up his train set every Christmas, listening to Polka jammer on Sundays, watching TV in his favorite recliner, and bartending at the Colonia VFW.

Visitation Thursday February 11, 2021 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6;00pm-8:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison. Funeral Services Friday February 12, 2021 8:15am at the funeral home followed by a 9:30am funeral mass at St John Vianney Church, Colonia. Entombment St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
