John T Moyle

John T. Moyle of Montgomery, NJ passed away on August 20, 2025 at the age of 62 years old. 

John was born on July 18, 1963 in Rahway, NJ and graduated from John F. Kennedy Memorial High School in 1981 where he was an accomplished two sport athlete in football and wrestling. He went on to attend Kean College where he studied business. 

John married his wife Kim on March 17, 1990, with whom he spent the rest of his life. John and Kim loved the Jersey Shore and spent much of their summers together down the shore at their favorite beaches. 

John was an accomplished business development manager in the specialty chemicals industry. He started his career at Ecolab in 1991 and then moved to JohnsonDiversey/Sealed Air in 1994 where he spent the next 20 years. He went on to hold other various leadership positions in the industry. 

As a resident of Montgomery, NJ for over 30 years, John was deeply involved in his community. One of John’s greatest sources of pride and joy began in 2005 when he founded the Montgomery wrestling program. At the time, Montgomery did not have a wrestling team, so John started the program from scratch and went on to grow it from a small team of less than 10 wrestlers to a widely recognized and accomplished program. John is known by many as “the Godfather of Montgomery wrestling.” 

John was an avid Bruce Springsteen fan and loved going to Bruce concerts with his friends. Some of his other favorite things included Boston sports, going to the gym, World War 2 history, and going out to his favorite restaurants. 

Above all else John loved his family with his entire heart. He loved spending time with his children and was extremely involved in all facets of their lives. He was a wrestling and baseball coach for his son and was very active in his daughter’s field hockey and softball teams. 

John is predeceased by his father John C Moyle and his sister Mary Taylor. He is survived by his mother Carol Moyle, his wife Kim Moyle, his son John Z Moyle, his daughter Kaitlin Moyle, and his granddaughter Charlotte Moyle.   

There will be a private viewing for John’s family on Monday, August 25th. There will also be an open funeral mass for all those who would like to celebrate John’s life on Tuesday, August 26th at St. Cecilia Church in Iselin, NJ at 10:15am.
