John DiNuzzo

John A. DiNuzzo, 83 of Edison, NJ passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Senior Home in Woodbridge. 

Visitation will be at Gosselin Funeral Home on Tuesday February 25, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday February 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecelia Church Iselin. 

A private interment will be at BG William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.

Born in Plainfield, John grew up in Scotch Plains. Upon graduation, in 1960, from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, John joined the U.S. Marine Corp and was a Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam War veteran. After military service, John met and married the former Kathleen (nee Dawe) DiNuzzo in 1966. They moved to Edison in 1970.

John was a life member of the Edison Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1, serving as Captain; President; Secretary; and Treasurer. An avid U.S. Civil War enthusiast, he was also a 23-year member of the Robert E. Lee Civil War Round Table in Woodbridge.

John was predeceased by his parents John and Angelina, sisters Joan and Ursula, and nephew Mark. He is survived by his brother Michael (his wife Deborah), cousin Peter (his wife Patricia), six children, and several nieces and nephews.
