It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Joseph Cuozze, who died peacefully at home in Cranford, NJ, on November 24, 2024. Born on May 27, 1972, John was raised in Edison and touched the lives of many throughout his years.
John was predeceased by his father, John Cuozze, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his loving mother, Kathleen Cuozze Schumann (Don); his sisters, Michele Graham (Joe) and Jenine Parrinello (Tom); and his nephews and nieces, Tommy, Joe, Anthony, Jack, Anabella, Emma, and Mia Sara. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many life-long friends who loved him dearly.
John was fearless in everything he did, whether riding his 3-wheeler and dirt bikes around the streets of Edison or excelling in sports. His love of football began in his youth, playing for the North Edison Shamrocks and the JP Stevens Hawks, where he made lifelong memories. His favorite NFL player was Barry Sanders, a true inspiration to John’s competitive spirit and love for the game.
Known for his outgoing personality, John was the kind of person everyone wanted to be around. His smile and infectious laugh were a source of joy to those who knew him, and he was truly loved by all who crossed his path. He had a passion for working with his hands, spending many years in construction and specializing in carpet and floor installation. John enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, from watching TV and movies to spending time with his many friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call him a friend, brother, and son.
