Jinbao He, 59, passed away peacefully at his home in Edison, New Jersey, in the early hours of August 14, 2024, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Jinbao was born on October 11, 1964, in Xiao Luo Village in Shandong, China, to his father, Henghu He, and his mother, Sulan Gao. He lost his younger brother, Jinguo, at a young age, a loss that deeply shaped his life. Jinbao’s early education began in a small village school, and his academic journey led him to Huantai No. 1 High School and later to Shandong University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he specialized in chemistry.
In 1990, he married Xiaohui Zhao, and they were blessed with two sons, Esco and Casey. In 1994, Jinbao moved to the United States to further his education at Mississippi State University, where he earned both a Master’s and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. His career took him to various pharmaceutical and chemical materials companies across the North East, where he was known for his innovation in new product development. He most recently worked in Chemical manufacturing at Palmer International Inc.
Jinbao was deeply devoted to his family, taking on responsibilities as both a son and a father with care and dedication. His kindness, optimism, and ability to remain calm under pressure made him a loving husband and an unwavering supporter of his children. In his free time, Jinbao was passionate about nature and loved exploring the outdoors. He enjoyed hiking, studying mushrooms, and caring for animals, often rescuing turtles and observing wildlife. He also had a keen interest in building and designing, with many labs benefiting from his personally constructed equipment.
Jinbao’s life was marked by a love of learning, a dedication to family values, and a passion for his work. He often said, "If there are no difficulties, create them and overcome them." Now, having completed his mission in this world, he has embarked on his next journey. We wish him peace and a joyous, healthy next life, free from illness.
