Jerome “Jerry” Nicholas Martellaro
Received last rights to join God on October 23, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Jerry was born in Brooklyn, NY to Andrew and Benedetta Martellaro and later settled in Edison, NJ. For a large fraction of his life, Jerry was a fine wine connoisseur; traveling all over the world and expanding his love and knowledge. He was also a fan of fine dining and many different cooking shows and showed a large dedication as a NY sports fan, the Mets and Giants in particular. He loved being surrounded by family and pets regardless of whether or not it was holidays, birthdays, or just a Sunday dinner.
Jerry was a loving and devoted husband and stepfather; and was wholeheartedly loved and cherished for his unbelievable acts of kindness. Everyone else was always his first priority, especially his family. Friends or even strangers could have the shirt off of his back and he’ll never think twice about it. He devoted his life to the happiness of others, especially his soulmate Wanda.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda Bagarus-Martellaro, stepson Joseph Jagiello, stepson Peter and daughter-in-law Samantha Jagiello, brother and sister-in-law Michael and Jodi Bagarus and his loving pets, Elijah Blue and Casper Kitty. He is predeceased by parents, Andrew and Benedetta.
