Jennie Zappulla

Jennie, 95, passed away on May 10, 2022. She was born in Newark to Antonio and Jennie. She grew up in Newark and moved to Edison after marrying the love of her life, Phil. Jennie was a bookkeeper at GE, Man Power and for her husband's business, Edison Tower Exxon. Jennie was truly a modern woman who was up to any task including but not limited to interior design, home construction and gardening. Jennie was known for her chicken cutlets, eggplant parm and cream puffs. Together, Jennie and Phil raised Theresa and Wendy. The lights of her life, her grandchildren, Lucas and Maximilian loved spending time with her. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Phil in 2002, her parents, Antonio and Jennie, her sisters, Carmela (Tom) and Marie (Louis) and her nephew, Gregory. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Theresa (Sean), Wendy (Thomas) and her grandchildren, Lucas and Maximilian. 

She also leaves behind her beloved Cavachon, Giuseppe. 

Burial service and entombment will take place  on Saturday May 14th at Hollywood Memorial Park at 11AM at 1500 Stuyvesant Avenue Union, NJ. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Seton Hall Preparatory School at 120 Northfield Avenue West Orange, NJ.
