James J Sheehan Sr.

James J. Sheehan Sr., “Jimmy”, of Roselle, New Jersey passed away on Sunday January 14, 2024 surrounded by his loving family at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Rahway, New Jersey.

Jim was born at his grandparents’ house on Broadway in Elizabeth, New Jersey to the late Kitty and Joseph Sheehan. Jim was predeceased by his two older brothers Joseph and Donald. Jim was military police in the Army stationed at Sandy Hook from 1957 through 1959. He worked as a fork lift operator at Thomas & Betts in Elizabeth NJ for 35 years. He was a youth baseball coach for Thomas & Betts Company. He enjoyed the Jersey Shore, revisiting Sandy Hook, boats, riding motorcycles, and cars.

Jim’s proudest accomplishment in life were his two children. Adding sunshine to his life were his four grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife Lynn Campbell Sheehan of 35 years, son James J. Sheehan Jr. his wife Gena their children James J. Sheehan III and Julianne Sheehan; Daughter Lisa A. Kraft her husband Clifford R. Kraft Jr., their children Leighann Kraft and Clifford R. Kraft III and his wife Jessie. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Anne Sheehan, nephew Joseph Sheehan Jr. and niece Karen Bennett.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.

Services will be at Gosselin Funeral Home on Wednesday January 17, 2024 from 3:00PM-8:00PM, a blessing will be 10:00am Thursday January 18, 2024 followed by a burial at Hazelwood Cemetery 64 Lake Avenue, Colonia, NJ 07067
