James (Jim) Kish, aged 77, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024, at his residence, Brighton Gardens of West Orange. Born on June 23, 1946, in Perth Amboy, Jim lived a life marked by love and dedication to his family. He treasured every moment and called Edison his cherished home, where he nurtured his family and created lasting memories.
Jim was the beloved husband of Marilyn Kish, who passed away on August 26, 2023. Together, they shared nearly 50 years of marriage, building a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support for their family. Jim is survived by James and his wife Lauren, along with their two children, James and Cameron, and David and his wife Alyssa. His family was his pride and joy, and his legacy of love, sacrifice, and hard work will live on through them.
Jim dedicated his career to the transportation industry, excelling in sales and management, while his wife was able to stay at home and raise their children—a testament to his strong family values.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jim had many hobbies in his life. He had a passion for all things outdoors, including tennis, the beach, bowling, and golf. Jim was one of the rare individuals who had multiple 300 games in bowling and multiple hole-in-ones in golf, accomplishments he was always proud of.
Another of Jim's great passions was his cherished '57 Thunderbird. He loved spending time driving his classic car and sharing stories.
He will be remembered for his strength, commitment, and unwavering support for his family. Jim will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
We invite all who knew Jim to join us in celebrating his remarkable life. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will forever live on in our hearts and memories.
