James Broderick answered the call to join his wife Jacqueline in heaven on August 5th. They had been married for 63 years before Jackie left this world last September.
Jim was a member and past Grand Knight at the Knights of Columbus in Iselin. He spent years as a little league coach for the Iselin AA. As a young man he was a professional actor but put this dream on hold to raise a family. He worked as a Teamster for Red Star Express lines for 40 years as a truck driver and received an award for 4 million miles accident free. After retiring he returned to acting and made his Broadway debut in his 70’s. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Lyons Veterans Home and Hospital. Jim served his country in the Korean War as a proud Marine.
He is loved and missed by his daughter Lori, son Jimmy, daughter in law Jennie, grandsons James and Jonah. Niece Mary Louise and nephew Bob. Jim was the kindest most generous man you’d ever meet. He always had a story to tell and was beloved by all who knew him.
