Jacqueline Voelkel

Jacqueline Voelkel, 61, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 surrounded by family. Jackie was born in South Amboy in 1961, and resided in Iselin since 1986. Jackie’s life revolved around her children and family, and she fought every moment of her 13-year battle with cancer just for the time spent with them. Her favorite things to do were looking at the ocean, reading books, visiting small towns, and listening to Bruce Springsteen - all alongside her family. Movie and game nights were the events she loved most!

Jackie is predeceased by her parents, Jack and Angelina (DiBiase) Murphy, and her brother, John Murphy, Jr. 

She is survived by her husband, Brian Voelkel; her children Danielle and Bret Voelkel, and her best fur friend, Dozer. She is also survived by her sisters Joanne Murphy Zientek, and Colleen Creighton and her husband William; her nieces and nephews Jennifer Lucas and her husband Tyler, Katie Devine and her husband Dan, Leigh Stanckiewitz and her husband Keith, Ryan Voelkel, Kevin Voelkel and his wife Nicole, Nicole Voelkel, Rena Voelkel, Bryce Voelkel, and Rachel Voelkel and her great-nephew and niece William and Mary Kate Devine.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 4th, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 5th, at 9:45AM at the funeral home followed by a 10:45AM Mass at St. John Vianney Church, Colonia, NJ. Interment will be at 12:00PM at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ. 

In lieu of flowers, Jackie has requested donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
