Irene Babish

Irene Babish passed away peacefully on December 29, 2021 at JFK Memorial Hospital in Edison at 10:42 pm.

She was born and resided in Elizabeth, New Jersey before moving to Colonia in 1956 with her husband John Babish.

Together they raised 5 daughters in the house that they built on Oxford Road where she happily resided until her death.

Irene was an avid homemaker who loved to garden, sew and  bake for her family. She loved The Lord Jesus Christ and taught her family to put God first in their lives. She had the gift of encouragement and hospitality and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Her purpose was to share God’s love and she always did. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Irene is survived by her daughters Diane Hebert, Karen Haas, Bonnie Pearson, and Joan Frascino, and Kathleen Sarbone, deceased.

She had 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will take place on Monday January 3rd from 10AM-12PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home at 660 New Dover Road Edison, NJ. 

Interment will follow at Hazelwood Cemetery in Colonia, NJ at 12:30PM.
