Hope Hoch Zmyewski, 78, of Edison. NJ died peacefully at home with her family by her side on October 25, 2025. She was born in Newark, NJ on November 11, 1946 to the late Alexander & Elizabeth Petran Hoch, moving from Newark to rural Edison in 1951.
Hope graduated from Edison High School in 1964 & worked in the office of JC Penney before marrying her high school sweetheart, Chester, who preceded her in death. They began their married life together in Carteret, NJ then moving back to Edison for the past 52 years where they raised their family. Hope enjoyed watching TV, reading, traveling, playing spider solitaire, baking, crocheting & you would often see her riding her tractor lawn mower & doing gardening with her floppy hat on. She was a wonderful sister, friend, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt & great aunt. We will love & miss her every single day.
She is survived by her 3 children Michael (Lisa) of Edison NJ, John (Carolyn) of Wasilla AK & Christine Fine of Lebanon NJ. Also 5 dearly loved grandchildren, Amber (Max), Ryley, Michael, Carolyn, Kaitlin, & a sister & brother-in-law Pat & Rick Rickabaugh, aunt to Steve, Karyn (John) & great aunt to their children Samantha & Charlie.
