Helene M Borowitz

Helene Borowitz, beloved wife, loving mother, and devoted grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 14,2024 at the age of 72 at J.F.K. Hospital in Edison, New Jersey. Helene and Joseph got married at the age of 20 and celebrated 52 wonderful years together.  Helene was a dedicated order reviewer at  NYNEX/Verizon and was known for being an unstoppable fighter and a sassy tell it how it is women.  She loved spending time with her family.  She taught her family how to cook and was an avid shopper. Helene enjoyed watching her soap operas, game shows, and black and white movies. Helene loved the New York Mets and Kansas City Chiefs.  Helene enjoyed volunteering at bingo, playing video games with her grandchildren when they were younger, word searches, and games on her phone.  
Helene is predeceased by her father Nicola and her birth mother Yolanda.  Helene is survived by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Nicole and husband Bobby; Mother, Maria; 5 brothers, James and wife Lise, Nicholas and wife Sue, Joseph, Vincent, Frank and wife Antonia; 3 grandchildren, Dontae, Jada , and Gianna and several nieces and nephews.  Family, friends, and others whose lives Helene touched are invited to the funeral services that will be held on Tuesday December 17, 2024 from 4-8pm and December 18, 2024 from 830 - 930am at Gosselin Funeral Home in Edison, New Jersey.  A Mass will be held Wednesday at St Helena Roman Catholic Church in Edison, New Jersey at 10am.
