Grace Cucchia

Grace Cucchia Brigande, age 82, passed away November 21st, 2022 in her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Grace was born August 5th, 1940 to Minnie (Sciascia) and Salvatore Cucchia. Grace graduated from The College of Staten Island with a degree in nursing which she practiced for more than thirty years. Grace was born in Staten Island and resided there for eighty years before moving to Colonia, New Jersey.

Grace was predeceased by her husband, Robert Sr. and is survived by her sons Deacon Vincent (Denise) and Robert Jr. (Mario Angel), her grandchildren Rosemarie (Joseph) and Jonathan, her sister, Angela Gengler(Ralph) and brother, Steve Cucchia (Beatrice) and many nieces and nephews.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in Grace’s memory can be made to the Saint Peter’s Foundation at Saint Peter’s University Hospital by calling 732-745-8542 or going to spfoundation@saintpetersuh.com.

Visitation is Friday, November 25th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road in Edison, NJ 08820. Mass of Christian burial, 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 26th at Saint John Vianney, 420 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ 07067. Entombment to follow at Saint Gertrude’s Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue in Colonia.
