Giovanni Monaco

Giovanni Monaco, 81, devoted husband, father and grandfather passed away at home on August 13, 2022. He was born in Vallata, Italy to Pasquale and Maria Carmela Monaco on April 21, 1941. He served in the Italian army and moved to America in 1967 where he was a mechanic for 30 years at the International Terminal Organization in Port of Elizabeth, NJ. In 1968, he married his love, Grace and were married for 54 years and raised four children in Menlo Park Terrace. Giovanni had a deep devotion for his wife, children, and grandchildren. His zeal for life and wonderful sense of humor was admired by many and his passion was always family, food, and wine making.

Giovanni put his children and grandchildren first before himself showering them with love, affection and supporting them through their lives. He is survived by his wife Grace Chirichiello Monaco, his four children, Maria Grillo, Patrick Monaco, Franca Choinski, and Gina Kurczeski; grandchildren, Ava Grace, Lia Alessandra, Oliva Sophia, Lucia Marie, and Luke John. Giovanni was predeceased by his parents Pasquale and Maria Carmela and his two siblings, Vito Monaco and Maria Gervasio. Giovanni will be missed greatly by his family and now he is resting in God’s loving arms.
