Gertrude J Karabin

Gertrude Karabin of Colonia, New Jersey passed away peacefully on October 18, 2023 in her home at 101 years of age. Gertrude was a loving wife and an aunt to many. She worked as a legal secretary for a large insurance company in Manhattan until retirement in 1984.

Born and raised in uptown New York City, Gertrude was married in 1957 to John and lived most of her adult life in Rutherford, New Jersey. Gertrude retired in 1984 to Venice, Florida. She returned to Tinton Falls, New Jersey in 2005 and moved to Colonia in 2015.

Predeceased by husband John in 2003 after 46 years of marriage. Survived by a large family of nieces and nephews. 

Visitation Sunday October 22, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison. Day of funeral visitation Monday October 23, 2023 from 8:30am to 9:30am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00am Mass at St John Vianney RC Church Colonia. Entombment Madonna Cemetery 2070 Hoefleys Lane, Fort Lee NJ
