Gerhart D. DeBoer

Gerhart DeBoer, fondly known as Garry, passed away at his home in Little Egg Harbor, NJ on Tuesday May 30, 2023.

Gerhart was born on January 8, 1961 in Elizabeth, New Jersey and was raised in Colonia where he attended Colonia High School. Shortly thereafter, he met his beloved wife, Donna and had one son, Garry.

Gerhart was a hardworking man at a variety of places over his life, most notably as a machinist at Accurate Bushing in Garwood for eight years, a plant manager at White Tool Corporation in Kenilworth for eight years, and most recently as the Building Manager at Executive Plaza in Edison for twenty-two years. But his most important and favorite role was as a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather. In his downtime, Gerhart loved working on and riding his motorcycles, with his proudest accomplishment being his custom-built Chopper, hand-built from start to finish.  He also loved boating, weekend drives, working in the garage, good German beer, and enjoying life with his family.

Gerhart had unwavering love for his family and was known for his selfless generosity and compassion. His grandson Gerhart, named after him, was his pride and joy.

Gerhart is survived by his wife Donna of 43 years; his son Garry and wife Tanya; his grandson Gerhart; his sister, Sheryl Pang; and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation service will be held on Wednesday, June 7th from 3:00-7:00 PM at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road Edison, NJ 08820.
