Gerardo Zamarra

Gerardo Zamarra, of Colonia died Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at JFK Medical Center.  He was 89.

Born in Vallata, Italy, Gerardo moved to the United States in the 1960’s, Residing in Colonia for most his life. Gerardo worked for Verizon as a maintenance man for over 30 years.  He was also a parishioner of St. John Vianney RC Church, Colonia.

He is predeceased by his loving wife of 28 years Maria Zamarra; parents, Enrico & Angelina Zamarra; and siblings Giovanina, Maria Francesca, Maria, Alfonsina and Giuseppe. Gerardo is survived by many nieces and nephews

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 5-8 PM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 8:30-9:30 at the Funeral Home, followed by a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. John Vianney Church, Colonia. Entombment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
