Geraldine Rinaldo, 72, of Monroe, passed away on March 30, 2024. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John Vianney R.C. Church, Colonia on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 12:00 pm, with interment to follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Geraldine was born on February 23, 1952 to the late Matthew and Frances (Walano) Rinaldo.
Geraldine received her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Glassboro State College. She proudly worked as an educator for 34 years–serving as a teacher, district Supervisor and Principal–before her retirement. Her passion for teaching was always evident, and she cherished the strong connections with her fellow educators and continuing successes of all the students she guided.
In the years after her retirement, her most joyous times were spent with her children and grandchildren. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her daughters, Jaimie and husband, Jesse Trout, of Wrightsville, PA, and Lindsey and husband, Ryan Nix, of Colts Neck; grandchildren, Molly, Tessa & Emma; also surviving are her brother, Matthew Rinaldo of Elizabeth, sister-in-law, Barbara Rinaldo of Monroe; her niece, Alexis Davidson; and nephew, Matthew Rinaldo. Her absence will be deeply felt by her family and friends.
