George Joseph Dumanski lived his life with unparalleled heart of kindness and love. He graced the lives of so many with the gift of family and friendship. On May 8th 2024 he passed away peacefully surrounded by his closest loved ones.
On April 19th 1951, George was born in Jersey City, NJ, after graduating Saint Anthony High School he joined the United States Air Force where he was an Aircraft Electrical Repairman and achieved the rank of SGT. He was assigned to Rhein-Main Air Base in Frankfurt Germany and then Castle Air Force Base in California where he was Honorably discharged on August 29th 1975 after 4 years of service. After the Air Force he pursued his passion to help people by joining the Jersey City Police Department where he proudly served and retired after 25 years of distinguished service. George’s greatest blessing is his family, whom he loved and cherished deeply. Left to carry his legacy are his loving wife, Lucy, daughter Angelique and son David (and Wife Jewelle). His beloved grandchildren Kyle, Sabrina, Logan (Samatha), Shelby, Kody and great grandchild Zachariah.
George’s final gift weaves together the essence of his spirit, the impact of his presence, and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those he cherished. His life was a testament to his resilience, intelligence, and unwavering dedication to all those he embraced as family. We take comfort in knowing that he is now in the loving embrace of those who have gone before him. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this time of profound loss.
