Gennaro "Gene" P Maglione

Gennaro “Gene” P Maglione. passed away on October 10, 2019 at JFK Haven Hospice, Edison. Gennaro was born in Elizabeth, NJ and lived in Colonia for over 40 years.

He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during World War ll and was discharged in 1946. Gene graduated Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA in 1950 with a BS degree in Chemistry.  He met his wife Angela DePaul from Pittsburgh in 1948 and married in September 1951.

Gene spent the majority of his career at Bristol Myers-Squibb in Princeton, NJ as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, retired in 1992.Gene was a member of St John Vianney Parish and the Colonia Knights of Columbus.

Gene was predeceased by his wife of 53 years Angela Maglione, his brother Louis Maglione, and his sisters Filomena Maglione and Angela Stephan.

He is survived by his son John Maglione and his wife Valerie and his daughters Angela Armento and her husband Rich and Michele DiStefano and her husband Charlie, his grandchildren Charles (wife Jenna), Craig (wife Lisa) and Lauren (husband Michael) DiStefano Dominick, Michele Armento , Christopher and Nicholas Maglione also 3 great grandchildren, Annabella and Ava Dominick and Lorenzo DiStefano.

Visitations will be held on Monday, October 14, 2019 from 3:00pm – 8:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ 08820. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 8:30am at the Funeral Home, followed by a 9:30am Funeral Mass at St. John Vianney Church, Colonia. Entombment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
