Genevieve Sosnowski

Genevieve (Gen) Sosnowski, 63, of Colonia, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on December 31, 1961, in Jersey City, New Jersey at Margaret Hague Hospital, was a devoted wife, mother, stepmother and friend. She was best known for her love and affection, big heart, family strength, and deep devotion to all those around her.  She dedicated her life to her family and was always there with a listening ear, a warm embrace, and a loving spirit.  

Gen enjoyed gardening, cooking (her homemade marinara sauce was nothing short of delicious), loved decorating for the holidays, watching soap operas, and adored penguins. As for sports, her favorite teams included the New York Yankees, New York Mets, New York Jets, New York Giants, New York Knicks, and she also enjoyed watching professional Tennis.  

She was a parishioner of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church of Colonia. Her home cooking, smile, sense of humor, everyday presence and looking into her brown eyes will be deeply missed by all.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard, her son, Anthony, her stepdaughter, Lauren, her spouse Glenn and other family members.
