Fred Daletzki, 87, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020 at the JFK Medical Center, Edison, NJ. Born in Gelsenkirchen-Erle, Germany. Fred came to the United States in 1964 settling in Union, NJ then moving to Edison in 1969.
He was a Mechanic in a Coal Mine in Resse, Germany and then a Foreman at La Cross Precision Instruments in Newark, NJ for thirty-two years.
He was a life time member of the Deutscher Club in Clark for forty- five years, where he went every Friday to socialize with his friends. He loved to cruise, cruising over sixty-four voyages throughout the world.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-five years, Elsa Daletzki, a daughter Gabriele Lauritsen and her husband Alan, two grandchildren, Katharine Lauritsen and her partner Matthew Natuzzi and Matthew Lauritsen and his finance Shannon Thomas and one great-grandson James Alan Natuzzi and a brother in Germany, Dieter Daletzki and his wife Christel and a nephew Michael Daletzki.
A Gathering will take place on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Cremation will be private.
