Francis J McMahon

A Mass for Francis J. McMahon of Colonia Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10:45AM at St. John Vianney Colonia where he was a daily communicant for over 30 years. Friends and family to meet at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ 08820 at 9:30am and Mass to follow.

Francis was born and raised in “The Bronx” Married Maryann (Sue) Andy in 1959. They moved to Colonia in 1967. They have 4 daughters Jeanmarie Murray, Maryann Nester, Carolyn Roberts and Theresa Thornburg.

Francis served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier Forrestal in 1955-1957. After his service he was employed in the Elevator Trade Construction Local 3 and Maintenance Local 1.

Francis was a very private, “do it yourself” kind of guy. Always helping people when a problem came up. He also worked the fair at St. John and was a member of the Lazarus Society.

Francis leaves his wife of 63 years, 4 daughters, 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters Cathy McNamara and Delia Lennon.
