In Loving Memory of Faith Elizabeth Karas
September 7 1956– July 11, 2025
Faith Karas, resident of Iselin, passed away at the age of 68. Born in Jersey City on September 7, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Adams Vance and Angeline Ann Vance.
Faith earned a Teaching degree in early education from Kean University. After a year of teaching, she took a job at Revlon in Edison where she met David. She followed David to Schering-Plough in Kenilworth and retired from Merck after the merger of the two pharmaceutical companies. She loved her friends and family in New Jersey and in Bethany Beach Delaware (she called their Sea Colony condo her “Happy Place”.) She enjoyed reading her kindle by the pool or beach and playing games with friends and family, shopping and frequent visits to the casinos.
Faith is survived by her husband of 38 years, David B. Karas, her sister Jeanne and her husband Bruce Terefenko, also survived by David’s brothers Stephen and his wife Lori Karas, Kevin and Carol Karas, Nieces/Nephews: Steve and Marcie Karas, Scott and Quyen Karas, Kim and Craig Cintron, Kylene and Victor Emodi, Kristen and Luke Schlesier, Katelynn and Ben Jampel and many great-nieces and nephews who brought her such joy.
Faith will be remembered with love by her family, friends, neighbors and all those lucky enough to have known her.
