Eugene Williams

October 18, 2023, Eugene Williams, 63, of Plainfield, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved wife Diu and family by his side. He fought valiantly against ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) for over half a decade. 

Born March 3, 1960 to Cora Lee Stinson and Albert Williams, Eugene was born and raised in Tuskegee, Alabama with his one sister and six brothers. Right after high school, Eugene joined the United States Navy and served with distinction. 

Eugene was a man of a few words but his heart was enormous. He always showed up for his loved ones and carried a generous spirit. His smile was always contagious — even his mischievous smirk. He lived life to the fullest whether that was on the beach in the Dominican Republic or dancing the night away with friends at their favorite local bar.

He will be remembered for all the laughter he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them- and if you knew him, you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly.

He is survived by wife Diu Williams, son Joshua Williams, and stepchildren Lynn Kim Do, Kevin Do, and Kenny Bui. 

He’s lovingly remembered by his three siblings behind Willie James Stinson, Luddie Williams, and Tony Allen Williams among many beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.
