Esterina “Ester” Verducci, 78 of Colonia New Jersey, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
Ester was born in San Bartolomeo in Galdo,Italy. After immigrating to the United States, she was raised in Short Hills, New Jersey before marrying her loving husband of 55 years, Frank M. Verducci. Ester and Frank moved to Colonia where they raised their family and have resided for 52 years.
She was a loving mother to Frank Verducci Jr.(Erin), John Verducci (Lisa), and Lisa McGirr(James). In addition, she was a proud grandmother to Jack, Alyssa, Nick, John Jr., Ashley, and Michael Verducci.
She was most proud of the accomplishments of her children and grand-children and would welcome any opportunity to talk about them. She enjoyed vacationing in Mexico, relaxing at the pool, and doting on her grandchildren. Most weekends she could be found cheering them on at various activities and sporting events.
Ester is predeceased by her parents Angelo and Filomena Vespa, and her sister Rosetta Ricci. She is survived by her sister Michelina Vespa, a brother-in-law Frank Ricci, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are kindly invited to call on the family on Sunday, January 23, 2022 between the hours of 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison, New Jersey. Additionally, all are invited to attend a Funeral Mass which will be offered at St Bartholomew’s Church 2032 Westfield Ave Scotch Plains Monday, January 24, 2021 at 10 a.m. (please arrive at church by 9:50 a.m.). Additionally, the Funeral Mass will be available for Livestream at www.stbartholomewchurch.org/livestream-mass. The Livestream will begin 5 to 10 minutes prior to the start of the Mass. Entombment will immediately follow at St.Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
