Enis Jenkins, the last and eighth child of Mary and the late John Jenkins, was born December 1st, 1971, in Plainfield, New Jersey. He grew up with his sisters and brother, sharing many memories full of laughs in Westfield, New Jersey.
Enis attended and graduated from Westfield High School in 1989. It was in his early years where he would find his love for sports such as football and basketball. Enis was a die hard fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. After church on Sundays he would relax on the couch to watch his team play. He also had an affinity for cars, and cherished his beloved blue firebird in his twenties.
Enis was a proud active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Westfield, New Jersey, where he served as a Deacon in the church. He was also known as the doorkeeper of the church where parishioners were greeted by his presence.
Enis was a man of many talents. He was a manager at Domino's during his early adult years as well as a paramedic for the Union County area. From 2000 to 2020, he was employed as Technical Support with Brewer International. From 2020 to his final days, he worked as a Service Technician with Beacon Graphics LLC. He also worked as a manager and bouncer from 2004 to his final days with Torpedos.
On October 13th, 2000, Enis met Shari Lewis, the love of his life. Six years later, they married in 2006. To this union, two daughters were born, Amaris Mariah in 2004 and Alena Carnelia in 2008.
In 2003, Enis relocated to Plainfield, New Jersey. In 2010, he moved to North Plainfield, New Jersey with his wife and two children until his passing.
During his residency in North Plainfield, he would help out in the North Plainfield Recreational Department coaching youth for six years. He coached his daughters’ soccer and basketball leagues from 2014-2020 and led his teams to many winning championships. During this time he enjoyed coaching his daughters teams to dominate the field and the court. He believed winning was the best way to have fun.
Enis had a passion for crime and suspense shows and movies, with some of his favorites being First 48, Fast and Furious, Primal Fear, and Training Day. Enis had a hobby of collecting firearms. He enjoyed going to gun shows and gun ranges on Sundays with his friends and family. He thoroughly enjoyed teaching his daughter in the range.
