“Let it be impossible to forget someone who has given us all so much to remember.”
Emily Paro 73 a resident of Edison NJ passed away after a major decline in her health, on January 2,2024. Emily was born on October 3,1950 in Kingston PA to parents Charles and Elizabeth Davies. She soon after relocated to New Jersey where she lived most of her life. Emily was a loving, friendly and thoughtful soul she will be missed tremendously.
Emily is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years Carlo Paro, her children Robert Black and wife Tracy, Stacy Butler, Jason Black and wife Gloria, Mark Paro and fiancé Melissa. She was a loving Grandmother to 19 grandchildren Aaron, Mark Jr, Jonah, Raven Sky, Nachally, Jason, Nathan, Anthony, Angelina, Danny, Brianna, Mikey, Robert Jr, Desirae, Crystal, Robin, Josh, Zach, and Jazmine. Also a great grandmother to 16 children. Emily is also survived by siblings Charles Davies wife Carol, John Davies, Katherine Kauffmann husband Conrad, James Davies wife April, sisters-in-law Maureen Davies and Diane Davies and her beloved cousin she held dear to her heart Randy Soto. Also survived by many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. Emily is predeceased by her parents Charles and Elizabeth, brothers Robert Davies, Mark Davies, and son in law Michael Butler.
For many years of her life Emily and her husband Carlo lived in Linden, NJ where they owned a beautiful home on East Curtis St. This was a house a lot of us had the privilege to call home at one point or another. Emily was always willing to give a helping hand to those she loved. Whether it was a place to stay, a home cooked meal or just a simple card game and good conversation, she was always there. Emily had a huge heart and never stopped showing her love for others. Her house was always filled with kids of all ages and although she only had five children of her own, she was a mother to dozens of others within her lifetime.
Emily was employed by Linden Board of Ed (School #5) for many years where she enjoyed being a teachers aid and impacting the lives of hundreds of children throughout her career. She also worked for a daycare in Clark NJ for several years. Emily had a great love and understanding for children, she knew how to make each child feel special. Emily was a favorite for many kids and as they became adults if she crossed paths with any of them, they always seemed to remember Mrs. Paro. Emily had a great love for country music, she had a beautiful voice and would sing along to the tunes of artists like Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn and Kenny Rogers. She also enjoyed going to Bingo with friends, having poker nights at her house and going down to Atlantic city with her husband. Emily was a wonderful cook and hosted plenty of parties and events where she would have her family and friends come together to enjoy themselves. It is with great sadness we are saying goodbye to such an important part of our family. May she rest forever in peace, she will be missed beyond measure, but she leaves behind a love that will never be forgotten.
John 14:27 “I am leaving you with a gift of peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid."
