Elizabeth Iversen Obituary

Elizabeth Iversen, 78, was born in Wilkes Barre, PA and resided in Colonia, NJ for over 40 years. She and her husband Glenn built a beautiful life and family together, retiring in Lake Ariel, PA. She dedicated herself to her family. As her children grew older, she branched out with a career traveling far and wide.  She started as a realtor for La Prairie Real Estate in Colonia, worked in Customer Service for Metroplex Distributors in Edison, followed by Dole Food Co, Inc. in Mountainside and retired from Philips Lighting in Somerset, NJ. With all of this, she always managed to put the needs of her family above her own.      

Elizabeth will be greatly missed by her children Glenn M. Iversen and his wife Donna, Timothy Iversen and his wife Lisa, Laura Quevedo and her husband Mike, Rebecca Hopper and her husband Grant, her grandchildren Victoria Lynch and her husband Terrence, Glenn R. and his wife Amanda, James, Timothy, Miranda, Harlan, Johnathan Iversen, Michael, Millicent, Thomas, and William Quevedo, Tess, Benjamin, and Samuel Hopper and her great grandchildren Terrence and Riley Lynch. She is also survived by her sisters Judy Boone, Kate Fettweis and many loving nieces and nephews.  

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Iversen, her parents William and Mary Brogan, her brothers James and William “Butch” Brogan, her sisters Mary Ann Doty and Therese Weiss. She lived her final years in Winfield Park, NJ. 

Family, friends and loved ones may call on Monday March 2, 2020 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home: 660 New Dover Road Edison, NJ 08817. Funeral services commence at 9:15am on Tuesday March 3, 2020 at the funeral home. Elizabeth’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:45am at St. John Vianney RC Church, Colonia, NJ 07067. Internment will be private.
