On Thursday, August 16, 2024, Edwin (“Ed”) Jukniewicz, loving husband of
Vincenza, peacefully passed away at the age of 88.
He was born on May 1, 1936 in Hillside, NJ. He was a graduate of Seton Hall and
earned a Master’s degree in science which led him to a career in Research and
Development for the pharmaceutical company Sandoz. After retirement from
Sandoz, he worked for Middlesex County for 18 years after obtaining his health
inspector license.
Ed was a gifted musician, playing both the piano and accordion. He was with the
Gene Mendalski & the G-Men polka band, who were nominated for a Grammy
award. He also used his talents to entertain family, friends, and residents at
nearby nursing homes.
He is survived by Vincenza, the love of his life for 42 years, along with his sons
Edwin and Bryan, his daughters Andrea and Alicia. He was preceded in death by
his son Adam. Ed is also survived by his step-children: Basilio, Frederika, and
Marina, and 6 grandchildren.
Ed was very proud of his faith and patriotism. His kindness, wisdom, and
compassionate spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of
