Edward John Taylor, 79, was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He passed away on December 20, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of Edward Stanley Taylor and Eleanor Taylor. He happily resided in Edison, NJ for 52 years. He retired from Gargiulo Produce in 2009.
Ed was a veteran of the US Navy. He was an avid Yankee fan. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with his family in the backyard by the pool. He was a kind and compassionate man who was known for his big smile and sense of humor. Everyone at his favorite spots in town loved seeing him walk in the door.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Christine; his two daughters, Diane Taylor and her husband Walter Hoefer and their son Ryan Edward; Denise McSorley and her husband Mike and their three children Michael, Matthew, and Meaghan.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 22 from 4pm-8pm at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ. Day of Funeral Visitation will be Monday, December 23 at 9:30am at the Gosselin Funeral Home. Mass will be held at St. Helena Church at 11am, 950 Grove Avenue, Edison, NJ
