Douglas R., 61, of Dillsburg, PA passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Born in New Jersey, growing up in Colonia, Middlesex County, he was the beloved son of Dorothea R. Engemann and the late Robert E. Engemann. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Susan & Gary, brother & sister-in-law Brian & Melanie, daughters Elizabeth & Ann Marie, nephew Brandon, and granddaughters Erika & Marianna.
A graduate of Colonia High School & Stevens Institute of Technology, early in his professional career he traveled the world while working for Panasonic, Beseler, Princeton Graphics Systems and other engineering/technology companies. Always fueled with a deep appreciation for music and the creative arts, in recent years, he tapped deep into his own inventive talents; by starting his own woodworking business, enjoying painting and creating other forms of artwork.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ on Thursday, June 6, from 11:00 a.m. – 12 noon. A short service will conclude the visitation. Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park & Cemetery, 1600 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness – www.nami.org, in Mr. Engemann’s name.
