Dorothy L. (Tibbs) Jackson

Dorothy L. Jackson (Tibbs) 3/6/1941- 4/7/2020

Born in Orange, Virginia to Bertha and Lucian Tibbs, Dorothy was the youngest daughter of nine children. She was predeceased by her sisters Alice, Rozanna, Mary, Elizabeth, Georgianna and brothers Herbert and Hunter. She is survived by her loving husband John and their eight children; John Jr., Walter, Jennifer, Dorothea, Patricella, Deborah, Robert, and Giavona. She is also survived by her brother Franklin and a host a grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.

She was a devoted wife of 61 years and an amazing mother and grandmother. She was generous and caring; if you ever met she was welcoming and probably made you a plate. She loved plants and flowers and had a green thumb. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing cards, crocheting and other crafts. She especially looked forward to family gatherings and cherished those special times. A private ceremony will be held.
