It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Dorothy Cuomo. Dorothy was born May 11, 1928 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She was big sister to Carl, Dominick, Sylvia, and Anna. Dorothy was educated at The Trenton School for the Deaf. In 1953, she met and married the love of her life Vincent. Together, they had a wonderful daughter, Anna, whom Dorothy adored.
She was a hard-working seamstress who loved life and could light up any room. Always socializing, Dorothy was a member of many clubs for the Hearing Impaired where she enjoyed playing Dingo and spending time amongst friends.
Dorothy is the grandmother of Nick and Denise who were lucky enough to grow up within a few blocks of where Dorothy lived in Rahway, New Jersey and share many priceless memories with her.
Anyone that has met Dorothy has been changed for the better. Her positive attitude and spirit are unmatched. Dorothy will be missed by so many friends and family members. She is survived by her daughter, Anna Giampino and son-in-law Ray, grandson Nick Giampino and granddaughter-in-law, Jennifer, granddaughter Denise Ichinco and grandson-in-law, Chris. She is the great-grandma to Anthony and will forever be “Cuomo.”
We invite her friends and family to join us as we celebrate her life and memory.
