Donna passed away peacefully on Thursday in Elizabeth, NJ after a long fight of Multiple Sclerosis & Diabetes. She was born on April 20th , 1959 in Perth Amboy, NJ the daughter of Santa & James Redlich. She married the love of her life in 1990 and raised three wonderful children. She was a faithful wife, mother and grandmother.
Donna is survived by her loving husband Albert Polonis, and three children and their spouses Joseph & Anna Polonis, Anthony & Taylor Polonis and Stephanie Polonis. She leaves behind four grandchildren Colt, Blake, Beau & Olivia. The way her face would light up when she was around the grandchildren was priceless and something that can never be forgotten.
Before having children Donna worked at the Middlesex Sheriffs Office for 12 years. Donna most enjoyed nature, animals, going to the beach, taking photos, and most importantly spending time with her family. Donna was very well known especially for her sense of humor, she could brighten up anyone’s day with a joke or something randomly funny. We will miss the random morning notes about the weather for the day and the random texts that wouldn’t make sense with the most random emojis, she always knew how to give us a good laugh.
Although she will be deeply missed, she has provided her family with an abundance of beautiful memories that will be shared around. No amount of time could ever take away the impression she made on those lucky enough to have met her. Her children and grandchildren will strive to pass on her love of family and the importance of togetherness for generations to come.
Donna will forever be missed but her love will continue to live in all our hearts.
