WELL DONE, MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT
Daniel Lunan, lovingly known as Des or Desmond, was born on April 21st, 1943, in Mavis Bank, Jamaica, W.I. to the late Lucius Lunan and Vashti Henry.
Des lived a life defined by service, devotion, and unconditional love for his family and friends. Des was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and avid about reading the Word and sharing his faith. It was no surprise that if you were to call on him for support or advice, the first thing he would offer was prayer. Through every chapter of life, he exemplified strength, resilience, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
A career technician, Des worked for Jamaica Telephone Company, before immigrating to the United States, where he spent over 30 years in the field and ultimately retiring from ADT in 2011. If you knew Des intimately, he would share that his happiest moments were spent with his family and friends, creating unforgettable memories that would be treasured for a lifetime.
Des’ greatest joy was his family. He leaves behind to continue his legacy his loving and devoted wife Beverly; his daughters Deborah Quarless (Brian) and Simone O’Leary (Sean), and son Sheldon Lunan; his grandchildren Jenae’, Olivia, Kristen, Brandon, Genesis, and Destiny; his great grand-daughter Lehlani; his sisters Francesca Lunan, Valarie Thompson (Anthony) and Audrey Lunan; and brothers Michael French (Leorna), Jim Henry (Lisa) and Karl Lunan (Susan); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Des’ warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love and support for his family and friends touched everyone who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, Des’ legacy lives on in the family he cherished above all else. His love, strength, and example will continue to guide and inspire future generations.
