Daniel Friedman, 81, passed away peacefully on 6/16/2023 with his loving wife of sixty one years, Barbara by his side.
Dan was born in Jersey City on June 18,1941. Dan was raised by his mother, Dorothy Friedman, as well as his Aunt Gladys Dammeyer and Uncles Buddy and Harry. After graduating high school at Willliam Dickinson, Dan entered the United States Air Force in Texarkana. It was during this time in the Air Force that Dan met the love of his life Barbara, and they had their first child, Michael. Dan served his Country as Crew Chief during the Cold War and the Cuban Missile Crisis from 1960-1963. After his service, Dan attended night school at Newark College of Engineering, where he studied manufacturing engineering. Dan's career encompassed VP of manufacturing for Reagan Industries as well as Vibra Screw.
Dan was known by his friends and family for his witty sense of humor. Dan loved fishing, boating, pistol range firing, his family, his Country, and the Jets & Mets.
Daniel is survived by his wife Barbara, son Michael Friedman and wife Melissa, daughter Laura Spallone and husband Frank, son Clint Friedman and wife Danielle, brother Bruce Friedman and wife Doris, grandchildren John Desimone, Kailey King and husband Austin, Ryan Spallone, Taylor Viviani and husband Christopher, Summer Friedman, Ella Friedman, Layla Friedman, and Brianna Friedman.
