Cristina Grapa

Tamara Grapa and Adriana Papadima Varela mourn the passing of our daughter and sister Cristina Grapa, who has left us suddenly on June 15, 2025, after a short illness. Cris was only 69. Cristina was a bright light who drew to her countless friends and was adored by all. She was a much sought after psychologist, marriage counselor and clinical therapist who put her patient’s health and well being of above all. Up until the last moments of her life she cared for them, despite her suffering. Cris is remembered by her childhood friends, Brandusa, Lacramioara and Liana - with whom she maintained contact up until the last days of her life - as the wisest, most loving, most loyal and kindest soul. She was always supportive and devoted, a true friend, a rare and amazing human being. She was a big presence in their lives, where there is now an emptiness that can never be filled. She was one of a kind. Cris will be missed by all – her beloved family, her many friends, and her patients, to whom she devoted her entire life.

For those who can attend the service, it will be held June 25, 10AM at Gosselin Funeral Home in Edison, NJ. It will be immediately followed by a religious service at the Hackensack cemetery.
