Clotilde Andino of Edison, NJ passed away peacefully on September 12, 2023 at the age of 88. Clotilde was born on June 5, 1935, she grew up in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to her father Otilio Vega and her mother Esperanza Agosto. She came to to NY as a teenager where she meet her husband Pedro. She raised her children in Manhattan's lower east side and later in the Greepoint section of Brooklyn.
She was predeceased by her husband Pedro Andino, Sr. in 1991 and a year later she returned to Puerto Rico to care for her parents until 2015 when she migrated to NJ to be near family. Clotilde is survived by her children; daughter Gladys Vazquez and her husband Gil, son Pedro Andino, Jr. and his fiancee Inez Rivera, son Edwin Andino, daughter Vivian Rozakis and her husband Bill, and son Manuel Solovay as well as many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She devoted many happy hours to having fun with her great-grandchildren, from playing pretend to having dance parties.
In addition to spending time with her family, Clotilde was a devout Catholic and found great peace and comfort in her daily prayers and loved to go to mass.. She spent many years serving as a foster mother and as a home health aide. She also enjoyed traveling with friends and family as well as the occasional trip to a casino. A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed.

Visitation Sunday September 17, 2023 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Day of funeral visitation Monday September 18, 2023 from 8:30am to 9:30am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00am funeral mass at St. Helena Church, Edison. Interment St. Raymond Cemetery, Bronx NY.
