Cheryl Kowitski was born in Summit, NJ June 28, 1960. She passed away August 8, 2021 from ALS - amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Cheryl was the first born child of Robert and Carol Kowitski while living in Mountainside until the family moved to North Edison in 1967.
She graduated from John P Stevens High School of North Edison as a member of the honor society, French Honor Society and varsity gymnastics team in 1978.
Cheryl graduated with a BS from Rutgers in Accounting and has an MBA in International Business and Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson.
After college Cheryl lived in Edison, Colonia and finally settled in Basking Ridge for the past 21 years of her life. Her professional contributions were primarily in finance and marketing within the pharmaceutical industry.
She was predeceased by her brother Robert G Kowitski and mother Carol A Kowitski.
Cheryl leaves behind her beloved daughter Crista Kowitski, brothers Thomas and Marc, father Robert and his wife Pilar and her three children Catherine, Ana and Daniel Seme. Nephews Steven, Tony and Robert Kowitski along with their mother Pamela.
Cheryl’s love of animals, swimming, horses and travel brought her joy as did her role as a mother to Crista. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, and being an active member of her local community.
Cheryl was known as a strong, intelligent, independent woman who was a selfless and devoted mother. She was a reliable and considerate friend. She was a successful and responsible businesswoman. She was respected and loved as a sister, aunt, and daughter. Cheryl’s 16 years as a mother were by far the happiest and most fulfilling of her life.
